Trying to find a good and cheap method to generate a logo has been something that I have been looking for over the past couple of years. It can be difficult to know both what you want, and what you should do.
What message are you trying to convey, if any? Do you want something that just looks good, or do you want to get through some idea of who or what you are.
Using a system that helps you generate the idea also feels like cheating, and that's something that's difficult to overcome. It's entirely possible to be creative with elements that were not created by you originally, as long as you are putting them together in unique ways.
Those unique ways, however, may not be interesting, or relevent. There is a constant urge for perfection. In expression, that can never be reached, and there are times when you have to be able to take a step back and just go with your gut feeling.
The purpley pinky splat that I produced as the heading for my channel last week has resonated with me, and I'm not entirely sure I can quantify why. Today, I had another look for a logo maker website, and (ofcourse), the answer was obvious. Logo Makr seems to have a lot of very good options.
I have gone with a basic splat shape, and a very vibrant pink colour. Maybe this is good enough, and I should leave it at that? Or maybe I should get take a look at other people, who are better equiped to manage how this stuff should work. Who knows. I'm going with the featured image for the moment for the channel, and we'll see how that resonates.
